When the New York Rangers retired Mike Richter's number on February 4, 2004, they not only preserved the memory of the greatest Rangers goalie in history but also honored the man who backstopped their unbelievable 1994 Stanley Cup championship. Richter's #35 jersey is just the third Rangers number to be retired in the rafters of Madison Square Garden. Mike Richter signed this great color 8" x 10" photograph and added the inscription "NYR '89-03."
