Mark Teixeira is the epitome of a great player. Teixeira came to the Yankees in 2009 with high hopes, and boy did he deliver. Teixeira turning in arguably the best season of his career, playing near error free ball at first base and hitting .292 with 39 HR and 122 RBI while making a strong case for the 2009 AL MVP Award. Teixeira carried his hot bat into the postseason, and delivered a game winning Walk Off solo HR in game 2 of the 2009 ALDS, putting the Yankees up 2-0 in the series, and on their way to an eventual sweep of the Minnesota Twins.
